A massive parade is being planned for Team GB and Paralympic GB's athletes.

The event called 'Our Greatest Team Parade' will take place in London on Monday 10 September, the day after the Paralympics finishes.
Around 800 athletes will travel on 21 floats to celebrate their success.
A similar parade took place four years ago after the Beijing Games, but this one is set to be bigger and better!
The procession will leave London's Mansion House at 1:30pm and will travel past Trafalgar Square, through Admiralty Arch and into The Mall.
Fans can turn up on the day to watch the first part of the parade up to Trafalgar Square, but organisers are warning people to arrive as it's going to be really busy.
Mayor of London Boris Johnson said: "This is a chance to celebrate the heroes and heroines who have thrilled us with their skills, sportsmanship, and grace."

Car Park Closures!

The excitement is building in London now with the countdown well under way for the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games. As part of the Games coming to Stratford, there will be some changes to car park access at Westfield Stratford City as we start to prepare for the world's greatest sporting event!

From the 18th June 2012, all car parks at Westfield Stratford City will be closed to the public as we, the Official Shopping Centre Provider, London 2012 Organising Committee, and the local councils start to prepare Stratford for the forthcoming Olympic and Paralympic Games. All car parks will remain closed until after the Paralympic Games and further information will be sent out in August as well as being communicated on our website.

During this time vehicles will not be permitted to enter Westfield Stratford City and the current access via Warton Road (off Stratford High Street), Penny Brookes Street (off Angel Lane) and the A12 interchange will be closed. The closest taxi rank is just minutes away, at Meridian Square, adjacent to Stratford Regional Station.
Full details around the car park closures can be found here. However access to the wonderful shopping, dining and leisure options at Westfield Stratford City will still be open, and remain incredibly easy to enjoy by arriving at the centre by public transport. The Central line, Jubilee line, DLR and High Speed 1 will all be running excellent services directly into Stratford and this will be further supported by the existing bus network, London Overground, National Rail, as well as taxis.

For real time public transport updates, download the Westfield Stratford City app. Not only will this provide updated transport information but you will also have access to centre maps and store listings and also retailer offers and future events at the centre.

We apologise for this disruption during the Olympic & Paralympic Games and we hope you will continue to visit Westfield Stratford City.

Westfield is delighted to be a partner of London 2012 and have the opportunity to engage our customers, staff and clients in the biggest ever event to be staged in the UK. Given the proximity of our newest development, Westfield Stratford City to the Olympic Park, we have been working closely with the London Organising Committee of the Olympic and Paralympic Games (LOCOG) for the past few years however being an official sponsor gives us the opportunity to bring the partnership to life throughout all our centres across the UK.
As well as providing operational services to help LOCOG deliver the Games and having  Team GB and ParalympicsGB House based at Westfield Stratford City throughout the Games in a stunning venue overlooking the Park, we will be activating the sponsorship on many other levels. This sponsorship gives us the chance to involve all our staff and customers across the UK through a range of events themed around London 2012 throughout the year.
Michael Gutman said: “We are delighted to be extending our relationship with LOCOG in our sponsorship of London 2012. Westfield will enhance the whole London 2012 experience in the period leading up to and during the Games and it is a fantastic way to get our customers and staff across the UK involved in the biggest event the UK has ever seen.”
Westfield Stratford City is also home to the first ever official Team GB and ParalympicsGB shop. Located on The Street, the shop sells a wide range of Team GB and ParalympicsGB clothing, gifts and souvenirs. The John Lewis department store at Westfield Stratford City also houses a 4,000 sq ft official London 2012 Shop on the third floor. The official London 2012 merchandise programme is expected to raise more than £80m towards the staging of the Games.
Westfield’s 1.9 million sq ft Stratford City development is directly adjacent to the Olympic Park and it is estimated that three quarters of spectators will pass through it on their way into the Park at Games-time. Stratford City is the largest urban shopping centre in Europe and offers spectacular views of the Olympic Stadium and Aquatics Centre which are only a short walk from the centre.

Prices slashed at Westfield!

Yesterday I went to Westfield and honestly, the sales amazed me! I went before too, like on Boxing Day and New Year's Eve, but I didn't get to see half the products in any store, due to the amount of people shopping at Westfield! Most of the stores cut their product prices up 80%, whereas some stores decided not to join in with the amazing sales! With up to 80% of products, imagine how much you can save compared to an average weekly visit. You must visit Marks & Spencer, Primark, H&M, Forever21, JD, John Lewis where the impact of the prices slashed off the products will make you say WOW! But,  do go as soon as possible, because people are taking the good deals the second they find them, and I doubt anyone is going to leave such deals there, for others to take! Never refuse a good offer! And have you got twitter? Then please do follow @westfieldstrat , to stay up to date with all the events and offers at Westfield and don't be afraid to ask them anything, if you have any queries or questions! They are their to help! And please follow or blog, all you need is a google or twitter account! And spread the word about http://londonstratfordcity.blogspot.com . #WestfieldSales . Enjoy! ; D
